The Nintendo DS Lite Black is a hand-held game console with dual-screen each of 3 inches, made by Nintendo. This newer version of the Nintendo DS is much more stylish, slimmer and brighter than the original version. It has a built-in microphone and supports wireless enabling other players to connect with each other but within a short range. Touch Screen interaction. It provides 3D graphics and you can adjust the screens brightness in four different levels.

Dual Screen
The bottom screen on the DS Lite Black is overlaid with a touchscreen, which you can either use the stylus which is included with the DS or the player can just use their fingers! Simply touch or tap the screen. Players can interact more with the touchscreen than simply pressing buttons, they can use the stylus to write messages or draw pictures.

The power button is now a power slider and is on the right hinge, on either side of the touchscreen are the general controls, on the right are the A, B, X, and Y buttons with select and start buttons under these which are now much smaller than the original DS. On the left hand side is a D-pad. The stylus is larger for the DS Lite Black than the original DS making it much easier to hold with pinpoint accuracy. The stylus is located next to the power switch and fits in a slot to keep it safe.

Speakers/Microphone
Stereo Speakers are provided on the DS Lite Black giving virtual surround sound, these are located on either side of the top screen. The Nintendo DS Lite Black also has a socket for headphones creating the ultimate DS sound experience.

The Microphone is located across the middle of the console, is can be used during certain gameplay sessions including speech recognition, players may be required to blow in a game to maybe blow out candles or shout into the microphone, they can even chat online during gameplay.

PictoChat
With this feature it enables you to design drawings and text messages to send to your Nintendo DS Lite Black mates, but you will need to be within 30 feet of another console to communicate via this way.

Battery
The DS Lite Black has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which can last up to 19 hours playtime depending on a number of factors like, speaker volume, if both screens are used.

AC Adapter
The adapter is included with the Nintendo DS Lite Black, use it to charge the internal rechargeable battery or simply plug in to the mains and use it as a direct power source.

Other Features
The console has a clock, alarm and calendar, you can even select other details like the colour of the background screen, your birthday and your nickname.

Black Nintendo DS Lite can now play Game Boy Advance games as it now has an additional port.
